How did George Whitfield challenge the boundaries between religious groups in North America?

George Whitefield was an evangelist that traveled during the Great Awakening period. He preached in all 13 colonies. He challenged the parish boundaries and preached all over America, he spoke in churches, halls, streets, and marketplaces. All churches were influenced by him.

He also challenged the boundaries between religions because he did not believe in the church hierarchy, he defended that all people could reach and choose Jesus. Because of that, he used media like newspapers and market advertising to spread the word about his tours.

He changed how people approached faith and after him, churches started to look for leaders that had emotion and charisma.
