Why do you suppose Marx's ideas had such a wide following among factory workers during the late 1800s?

    Despite the fact the Marx describied vrious social classes within working class (for example worker's aristocracy on one hand and proletariat on the other) the ideas tha workers should hold the means of production was attractive factor for many of them, especially in those countries and regions where there was smaller competition between industrial companies and smaller wages
