Such British Mercantile Policies like the Sugar Act of 1764, Stamp Act of 1764, Declaratory Act of 1766, and the Townshend Acts of 1770 angered colonists. Colonists responded by boycotting British products, like tea, or refusing to pay certain taxes. Some colonists even went far and that's when the Boston Tea Party happened.
