    World War I debt and reparations against his country led to Hitler coming to power in an environment of anger and resentment. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Regime in Germany (the Third Reich) and the Nazi Political Party. He led one of the worst regimes to have ever existed on earth and created mass genocide, killing millions of people who he didn't feel fit his category. It is said that he became powerful because Germany was desperate.
