Which was a recommendation of the council of trent regarding music for the church?

    One of the main complaints at the Council of Trent was that the music used was too secular. They suggested that fewer instruments be used and that a certain attitude should be held by those singing or chanting in the chorus. They also added into the curriculum of those attending seminary the study of the literature, chants, and fine arts. This would hopefully bring about a better understanding of the use of music with in the service.
