    Explanation:

    It depended on the allegiance of the country with respect to any of the superpowers in conflicts. If a country was close to the United States, it would support the ideas of the Communist threat and expansion putting countries in danger. Likewise, if a country was close to the Soviet Union, it would support the ideas of the US Imperialism and efforts of capitalist countries to attack or invade the Soviet Union or any of their allies.
