What were ancient Rome's physical streets like? How are they different from out streets in the United States today?

    Los romanos construyeron edificios públicos masivos, obras de ingeniería civil, y templos no públicos que fueron responsables de desarrollos significativos en la vivienda y la higiene pública, por ejemplo, sus baños y letrinas públicos y privados, calefacción por suelo radiante en forma de hipocausto, acristalamiento de mica (ejemplos en Ostia Antica), y agua caliente y fría entubada (ejemplos en Pompeya y Ostia) (etc).
