    The slave rebellion of 1831 was led by Nathaniel Turner who led the most effective slave rebellion in the history of the United States. The rebellion was named after its leader and hence called Turner revolt. The revolt left a sense of terrors in the Southern States in which around sixty white people lost their lives including the family of his former master. The rebellion soon put to an end by state militia but it has shattered the notion that Blacks are inferior in strength and to bear arms.
