    A consequence of the 1894 naval war between Japan and China was that a strong Japanese Army defeated the Chinese troops, and Japan started to increase imperialistic ideals.

    During the First Sino-Japanese War that started in July 1894 fight for the control of the Korean peninsula. In China, the Qing Dynasty wanted to control Korea but the Japanese Empire had a more modern and well-trained military and ended up winning the war.
