I agree. He isn't necessarily evil, but he's not a hero either.

Columbus is both. although he didn't intentionally set out to harm anyone, he still brought many diseases, problems w / tribes, the rise of slavery, & he destroyed a lot of the ecosystem. He made a fantastic discovery, but he brought horrendous horrors to the new world.
