Petroleum is a non renewable resource.

    Explanation:

Non-renewable resources are natural resources that are only available in a limited, non-renewable stock, as opposed to renewable resources that are constantly being generated by natural processes. The most significant non-renewable resources are, for example, fossil fuels such as petroleum or natural gas.

Some natural resources are in themselves non-renewable, but they are available in such enormous quantities that human consumption does not play a major role in the overall resource over time. Such natural resources include gravel, which is by far the most important product of the mining industry in the world, as well as many metals and, for example, silicon, which is used as a raw material in the semiconductor industry. Other non-renewable resources, such as petroleum, are very scarce.

Petroleum would be non renewable since trees can be replanted and produce more lumber and sun and wind are easily renewable.
