Hypothesize why the framers of the constitution did not want to make it easy to amend the constitution

The framers of the constitution did not want to give the congress too much power and therefore they made sure that the congress could not amend the constitution alone. Otherwise the law of the land was bound to change every time a new party took power. Instead there is a check in the power of the congress such that the congress can propose the amendments but any changes to the constitution must be approved by the people and the state
