Around 1000 C. E., how were the Western church leaders' beliefs about church authority different from those of the Eastern church leaders?

    Western Church:

    Wrote and spoke in Latin

    Believed that the Holy spirit was sent from father (God) to his son

    Celebrated Eastern on Sunday

    Accepted Dionysius system

    Eastern Church:

    Spoke and wrote Latin

    Thought that the Holy spirit came from both father and son

    Celebrated Eastern on Passover (1 week)

    Muslims had a strong effect on Church so they became Constantinople's patriarch

    The main cause these churches split was because of the excommunication.
