    six days

    Explanation:

Initially, when factories first appeared, workers were to be for long hours, in the worst working conditions of the time:

they had to face job instability since many of them were to lose jobs after some months or suffer from pay cuts.

During the Industrial Revolution, factories were eager to employ workers, and since many labour forces were available and willing to work, the employers went to set low wages.

Worktime was around 10-16 hours a day. Six days of the week and Sunday was the single day off.

This situation did not change despite many strikes and protests began, but some changes were led by the beginning of the 20th, century-

For example, in 1926 Henry Ford was the first company to change and set a 40 hour week with the five working days we know today-
