Internment camps were also known as Relocation centers or concentration camps.
Explanation:
These camps were actually temporary prisons where the people who had Japanese ancestry but were actually residents and citizens of America were confined in order to prevent any kind of espionage during World War II after the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese army.
These camps were so-called as they also saw to the relocation of many Japanese families from America to other places.
