What effect did imperial legislation in england of the late 1600s have on the chesapeake colonies?

    Imperial legislation had an effect in how goods were taxed and transported. For instance, the Staple Act of 1663 stated that nothing could be shipped to America before going through England first. The Navigation Acts on the other hand had a huge impact on the way goods were taxed and the English colonies which ultimately led the colonists in revolt
