The answer is: In the Arab-Israeli War

The first recorded use of the United Nations peacekeeping forces was in 1948 during a ceasefire between the newly created state of Israel and the surrounding Arab states over the creation of the former.

Such intervention of the peacekeeping forces was under the supervision of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) which provided a military command structure in order to keep the ceasefire between the parties which would eventually lead to an armistice.
