The period is known as the Cold War that started in 1949, when soviets officially possessed the Nuclear technology and lasted until the fall of the Soviet union.

During this Era, many technological innovations emerged as a result of their competition. Space race, new aircrafts and aviation technologies, satellites and even the moon landing were consequences of the competition between the USA and Russia.
