Home Depot: Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank created the largest chain of home improvement stores in the world, they innovated by creating non specialized stores so renovators could find everything they needed in one store. This large scale store also allowed prices to be cheaper for the products they were selling-making their business extremely competitive.

Georgia Pacific: Owen R Cheatham started a lumber company in 1927 and wanted to expand it into a bigger business which was a risk. He ran five lumberyards and expanded them to the pacific coast in 1947. The company continues to be successful today.
