    - Separates private properties

    - Prevent farm animals from escaping.

    - Prevents predator from come in and eat the farm animals

    Explanation:

    - Separates private properties

Large portion of land in taxes was used for animal farming. Often times, conflict occurs between landowners in terms on the area that personally belong to each of them. They used barbed wire to separate their lands in order to avoid the conflict.

    - Prevent farm animals from escaping.

A single Cow could cost the owner around $3,000. A single escape could cost them a huge economic damage, so they used the barbed wire to contain the animals.

    - Prevents predator from come in and eat the farm animals

Wild Predators such as hyena or Foxes often came when the farmers were gone and eat the farm animals. Barbed wire prevents it from happening.
