The Bush administration became involved in the Middle East, the OPEC oil embargo, and o prevent gas rationing

    Explanation:

During the Bush administration, the US got heavily involved into the Middle East. While the official reason for this was the terrorist attack of 9/11, thus to eliminate the terrorist groups, in reality there were were several other factors that played a huge role. The Middle East is one of the richest regions in the world when it comes to oil and natural gas reserves, thus making it very important for the global economy. In order to be able to control the situation properly, the Bush administration got its hands in the Middle East, not allowing some countries to overproduce as they want, but limiting the production of all, so that there's a fair trade, and fair prices of these two resources.
