    Margaret Atwood is a Canadian writer best known for her prose fiction and for her feminist perspective.

    Role reversal and new beginnings are mostly repeated themes in her novels, all of them centered on women seeking their relationship to the world and the individuals around them. Atwood ponders human behavior, celebrates the natural world, and condemns materialism. She won the PEN Pinter Prize for the spirit of political activism through out her life and works.

    Her novel were included in films, television series, opera and a ballet and thus she rose to fame. Atwood's work has been revolving around feminism and the critics had labeled her for being a literal feminist in her works. When she was criticized for being too feminist, she asserted that it is not feminism abut it is social realism. Her works also highlighted science, fiction and animal rights
