What is the main difference between the types of farming in Virginia and Pennsylvania

    The answer is Virginia grew mostly cotton and tobacco, while Pennsylvania grew mostly wheat. Virginia grew mostly cash crops such as cotton and tobacco because of the abundance of slaves in that region. However, Pennsylvania grew mostly wheat because it was apart of the middle colonies (The Bread Basket Colonies).
