    The idea of the blitz spirit, and high morale was an understatement. People were not actually calm and just carried on. They just didn't have another option. So the idea of "London can take it" or "bombed but not defeated" was not exactly the truth.

    Explanation:

    It was a well - constructed propaganda tool for the allies, while their homes, schools and places of work were being destroyed. After 77 nights of bombing, the city was suffering but there was a huge gap from that idea to what the media said.
