Overall, were the effects of the progressivism more harmful or beneficial to American society?

    Progressivism has not been harmful for the society and has been very beneficial.

    Explanation:

    At its core, Progressivism is movement towards commitment to social reform and ensuring social responsibility and equality among the people of the nation.

    It has become one of the central issues in the country since the 1970s when the inordinate finally began to find a voice in the country.

    This has led to some conservatives see it as moral decadence but it is only a challenge to their narrow idea of the country as it should be that does not reflect in its constitution.

    In a way the movement is a way of redeeming and completing the ideas of the nation's foundation.

    The effects of the progressivism were beneficial to American society as it reforms the full federal government with federalism and removes all the unethical and unfair means of winning position in political party, reduces corruption level and right of women were saved.

    Explanation:

    Progressivism was an era of progress for overall society where industrialization, political powers, economic benefits were equally distributed among the all citizens. In that time federal government was reformed in a different set up. All the unethical and unfair means of grasping political power was removed.

    Corruption level was reduced and right of women in the society, right of vote was granted. Though overall result of progressivism was good but its effect was quite limited on white people only.
