    This statement is false. After World War I, the victorious, Allied powers made a huge mistake by punishing Germany and demanding extremely high reparation payments. This drove Germany's economy into the ground and made them bitter and angry, leading to the country becoming militarized again. After World War II, the victorious Allies were much nicer to the defeated nation.
