    He was an activist you can say, he urged for the colonies to win independence because he thought it would be common sense

    Thomas Paine, is most famous for writing, "Common Sense", a book that inspired the American Revolution. He wrote others that also inspired the Revolution but Common Sense was his most famous. He supported American Independence and tried to influence colonists of his Independence views by writing pamphlets.
