    "Dictatorship" was a form of government in Iraq before Invasion.

    Explanation:

    Iraq's first form of government was Monarchy. throughout the 20's and 30's there was a lot of instability in the region different political groups wanted to control the government. On the 16th of July 1979, Saddam Hussein's leader of the Baath party declared himself as the President of Iraq. since then the day United States Invade Iraq, Iraq was under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. He was later captured and hung by the United States as found guilty for the thousands of innocent deaths.
