Solve the problems of the Depression: FDR focused on relief, recovery, and reform as his approach to the Depression.

The New Deal had three goals--relief, recovery, and reform. Reform focused on fixing the banking system, setting up programs for farmers, commission overseeing the stock market, and creating aid programs to prevent a depression like the Great Depression from ever happening again.
