Regions in geography are parts on Earth that share many characteristics in common and which are often separated from other regions by natural barriers.

Regions are comparatively homogenous in itself, which means that they have some types of vegetation and animal life which are expected to be found equally in all parts of the region. Because of this, regions make very useful areas of focus when trying to study the geography of the earth!
