Montezuma II was killed by a Spaniard conquistador called Cortes. And they took the city and also the people as refugees.
Explanation:
Montezuma II was a Mexican ruler who ruled between 1502 to 1520. He treated the Spaniards as his guests, later a Spaniard conquistador known as Hernán Cortés arrived in Mexico and captured Montezuma II in his own home as house arrest. Then Montezuma II got killed and his empire was taken by the Spaniards.
Moreover, they took the people as refugees to sign a treaty to conquer the Tenochtitlan. Montezuma II had 50 wives while he dying he nearly fathered for 100 children also some of his wives were pregnant at that time. Isabel Montezuma one of the daughter of Montezuma II who was married to Hernán Cortes.
