    Answer: The religious right objected to the trends of abortion, gay rights, and political protest because they felt that these things went against the values of the church. They led protests against abortions right in front of doctors offices and they created organizations like the Christian voice which rallied voters behind conservative candidates.

    During the 1970s and 80s, the religious right emerged in protest of the evolution of social and moral after the 1960s.

    They organized, worked to defeat the ERA, and worked to fight abortion laws in the US.
