    The Kalangs of Java.

    Explanation:

The Kalangs dominated Java forests because they were expert in cutting the woods, harvesting teak and making palaces. They were so expert in cutting and construction work that 6000 Kalang families were equally divided between both kingdoms after the split of the Mataram Kingdom in 1755.

They were the most important forest community until the Dutch took over the Java forests in the 18th century.
