    The irony about Marx's life is that though he was an economist who understood the workings of the economy and proposed theories on how it should be run was extremely poor.

    Explanation:

    Often referred to as the author of "Capital", it was an irony that he lacked the ability to organise his personal finances towards prosperity. It was recorded that he and his spouse lavished their financial resources on art lessons for their offspring, three of whom died very young age. It is speculated that their deaths were due to poverty.
