What was one result of the nuclear test ban treaty?

As a result of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, there are nearly 40 countries who have been ended with above-ground nuclear tests. This Nuclear Test Ban Treaty prohibited the testing of the nuclear weapons in underwater, outer space or in the atmosphere. This treaty which was signed by President John F. Kennedy was treated as one of the important steps towards the control of nuclear weapons.
