    Two other reasons would be:

A nation consists of a more-or-less homogenous group of people, who have a common set of cultural values and practices. Canada is very heterogeneous, consisting of several nations and ethnic groups. Canada's idea of itself is not being a nation-state, but a state where many nations or ethnic groups coexist. Canada has become a multicultural country, and this fact makes the first reason a reality.

    The answer is below

    Explanation:

The nation state a geopolitical term that describes a system of organization in which a great majority of a country or nation shares the same cultural identity as national identity which equals political boundaries, with a physical border and single government administration. For example, Japan, Croatia etc.

Hence, Canada cannot be categorized as a nation state because aside language, there exist the following:

    1. Multiple nations: there is presence of people of First Nations, indigenous people; Québécois, Anglo Canadians in the country.

    2. Multiple ethnicities: there exist quite a number of East, South, or Southeast Asians; Eastern Europeans; French Caribbean; Latin Americans; or African immigrants in Canada.

    3. Cultural diversity: there is also presence of various religious groups (e. g. Catholics, Protestants, Hutterites, Muslim, Jews, Buddhist, Eastern Orthodox, Hindu, Sikh, Animist, secularism) or cultural traditions (e. g. food, customs).

Others factors or reasons include the following:

    4. Ethnoregionalism

    5. Regional party politics

    6. Government policies
