In the shift to a more industrial society, jobs began to change and expand into things like less work in fields and more work in things like assembly lines. Certain jobs became outdated and new positions opened relating to technology. humans, arguably, began to develop a different kind of greed related to wanting new technology and to invent things that would make them rich. we became able to make larger buildings and simplify transportation with cars and living overall with electricity being tapped for our usage. patents came to be so that people could claim the rights to their technology. the world was advancing and making life simpler and more convenient.
