    It was the Dark Age of Greece. There was no written record at the time and many Greeks wondered in small groups. Life was hard and the Dorians laid waste to the Myceneans. Political instability led to the ousting of kingdoms and there was constant warfare among groups of people. Still there were some developments during this period like the use of iron, the works of Homer and the Olympic Games.
