President Woodrow Wilson, last 1917 sought support to attack Germany and have a safe democracy for the world.

He tried to make the world safe by waging war with the Germans. He believed that the world would not be safe with Germany.

Another example is the American Policy of Isolation last 1922. This was the time America avoided military involvement.
