What are the effects of WPA (work progress administration) on the great depression?

    I believe Roosevelt established this as a way to decrease unemployment rates by getting people to work on social service activities and build public equipment. The acts he passed and groups he established didn't solve the unemployment problems, but it did lower its rates by a bit.
