Who are the mestizo?

Mestizo was the term used by the Spanish Empire for people descended from a white father and mother and an Amerindian father or mother. In the colonial caste system the mestizos had a diminished social status, as it shows that they were prevented from having the rights and freedoms that the peninsular and Creole possessed.

This is a Spanish term used for people of mixed race - Spanish and Indigenous American.
