The major crimes act included Murder, Manslaughter, Larceny, Burglary, Arson, R. ape, and Assault with the intention to kill. Before this act, this kind of stuff was resolved according to Native law that applied in the reservations according to their own sovereignty. The list has since been update with numerous other laws that would also be solved by the federal police.
