What was the code of chivalry? what stages did a boy go through to become a knight?

    Chivalry is a code of conduct for Knights. A boy started as a page, or servant. At the age of seven, he left home and went to live at a castle of the Lord, who was often a relative. A page learned how to ride a horse and received religous instruction from the local priest or friar.
