    Yes, the president has to take approval of the Congress also fro hiring a person for the position of the director of the FBI. Further, Congress also has powers to remove a person this directorship, under impeachment clauses of the constitution. Under the charges of high crimes and demeanors, the civil officers of the US can be removed from duty.
