    The territories wer formedinto temporary protectorates (till the moment when local Arab rulers would takeover full administration) known as mandates British Mandate of Mesopotamia/Iraq which gained indpendence in 1932 French mandate of Syria which gained indpendence in 1946 and Lebanon which gained indpendence quickly (in teh begining it was aprt of Syria mandate) teh BBritish Palestine mandate was split into Jewish state of Israel in 1948 and arabic Jordan/Transjordan
