The council of Trent was held from 1545 to 1563 in Trent, Italy. It was organized from the permanent critics of Protestant leaders and the Council ended up with important reformations for the Catholic Church. Many historians considered that the council was a counter-reformation aimed to diminish the advancement of Protestants.
