    F. W. de Klerk and Nelson Mandela received the Nobel Peace Prize for their work to end (2) discriminatory policy of apartheid. F. W. de Klerk brokered the end of racial apartheid, its segregation policy and supported the transformation of South Africa into a multi-racial democracy. He paved the way for integration through legislation and policy while Mandela worked extensively to better South Africa and moved forward in many different ways such as philanthropy and negotiation talks for multi-racial integration.
