    Trade flourished under the Tang Dynasty through maritime trade and the Silk Road. Through maritime trade, they were able to gain products from foreign countries. Many foreigners came and settled in Chinese cities. The Silk Road remained open four a long due to the Tang Dynasty and many travelers also brought their goods to trade with the Chinese.
