During the years that articles of Confederation were in force from 1781 to 1789 there were no national courts and no national judiciary the laws of the United States were interpreted and applied as each state soffit and sometimes not at all disputes between states in between persons who lived in different state or just tied it if at all by the courts in one of the states involved often decisions by the courts and one state where ignored by courts in other states

This excerpt from the textbook explains why
