What precedents set by the New Deal have been put into play during periods of recession?

    One of the precedents that was set by the New Deal that has been put into play during periods of recession ever since is that financial aid should be supplied to the people who do not have work. This of course now exists in the form of the benefits system, in which job seekers are able to claim financial aid whilst they are still looking for work.
